Two things that look the same on a quote
Search for presentation design services and you will find two kinds of company with nearly identical portfolios. Both show handsome slides. Both list logos. Both say custom. The difference is not visible in a screenshot, because it is not about how the deck looks. It is about what the deck is.
A presentation design agency makes files. You send a PowerPoint, they send back a better PowerPoint, and from that moment the file is yours to present, attach and forward. An interactive presentation studio makes something that lives at a link. You still start from your PowerPoint; you just do not get a PowerPoint back.
What the file cannot do
A file forks the moment you send it. Three reps attach three versions, a buyer forwards one to a committee you never meet, and a pricing change in March never reaches the deck someone opened in February. Nobody can tell you which slides were read, or whether the attachment was opened at all.
None of that is a design problem, which is why better design does not fix it. It is a delivery problem. The prettiest PowerPoint in the world is still a PowerPoint.
What a link does instead
A hosted presentation is one build with one source of truth. Each recipient gets their own link, with their name and context merged in. Change a screen and every link already sent changes with it. And the thing reports back: which screens each person opened, how long they stayed, and when, including the people who were never in the room.
It also stops being a single-purpose object. The same build is presented in the meeting, sent afterwards, and embedded on your website, which is three jobs a file has never done.
How to tell which one you need
- If the deck is presented live and never leaves the room, a file is exactly right, and we build those too.
- If the deck gets sent, forwarded and re-read by people you do not meet, you have a delivery problem, and a studio that builds hosted presentations is the fix.
- If it changes every quarter and reps keep sending old versions, same answer.
- If you want to know who read the pricing screen before the next call, only the link can tell you.
